This week the task was to improve a flyer created prior on blackboard and play around with the tools on photoshop to improve the overall look. The flyer looked like this:  I spent 15 minutes on changing the font , size and positioning of the text  We also learnt about grids and how they bring structure to a design. It also speeds up the process off alignment as well as able to make different types of layouts. Creating a grid on photoshop was easier than I thought due to the step by step instructions. Usually I do not use a grid in photoshop but I have seen a clear difference in the alignment and spacing of my design and makes the image look more coherent and together.  I also learnt about rulers and gutters which allows me to have space between my content. A grid is one approach to organising visual information to aid communication. Finished ALBUM Cover

This is my completed Album cover I made on Photoshop. I like the fact that the font compliments the image and the clothes the women is wearing.  I also decided to add a parental advisory logo and a record label ovo logo. The task helped me remember how to use photoshop again.   

SESSION ACTIVITY: MAKING AN ALBUM COVER USING PHOTOSHOP

In the first session myself and the class was introduced to the module New Media: Design and Production.  The first task was learning how to make a mock up album cover using the software photoshop.  Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows and macOS.  I have had previous experience using the software which meant that I was able to complete the task easier. The task made us choose a random article name and quote generated and create an album cover design from it. Which means finding relevant images for the album.  The name that I generated was Raven and the quote was on to be scared  I was introduced to the website Pexel. which is a website that provide free stock photos.
